"It's a bad sign when they red flag a parade lap"
The 1999 Ferrari F399, formerly raced by Schumacher, was broken into three large pieces as well as many smaller bits on  Saturday August 14 2004 when FREDERICO KROYMANS crashed into the tire wall on the inside of  turn six at Laguna Seca.

Note that in these photos, the tub of the ex Schumacher1999 Ferrari F399 has broken well to the back of the area containing the drivers legs and behind the pedal bulkhead. Ferrari was in a big hurry to get the remains out of sight ASAP.

Kroymans got a sore left knee, but is reportedly otherwise physically uninjured. Presumably ego and wallet are a bit bruised by such an event however.

Kroymans is the Ferrari distributor for Holland as well as a dealer for Cadillac, Chevrolet, Corvette, Saab, Opel, Jaguar, Maserati, Ford, Land Rover, Kia, Daewoo and Aston Martin "  according to the www.kroymanscorporation.com web site.

Perfekta Autoschade service is also a part of the Kroymans empire, but putting a 999 Ferrari F399 back together is most likely out of their league.

Ferrari F1 Corsi Clienti is a new Ferrari factory program, which sells obsolete Ferrari Formula One cars to customers. The new program includes maintaining the customers' cars,  and providing technical support and crews for the new Corsi Clienti series which consists of five races run with Historic Ferrari races in Europe, with 12 mechanics, three engineers, as well as administrators, hospitality and service.

In other "the rich are different than you or I" Ferrari crunching news from Laguna Seca that I unfortunately don't have photos of...

LULU WANG substantially shortened her #3 1962 250 Ferrari GTO in the corkscrew Friday morning, but not to worry, she was not hurt and her husband, ANTHONY WANG, had two more Ferrari GTO's in the Group 7A race on Saturday, a 1963 Ferrari 330 LMB that he drove and his 1963 Ferrari 250 LMB that LOU SELLYEI drove. One of the other drivers in the GTO race was FREDERICO KROYMANS, who having recovered from wrecking his F1 Ferrari earlier in the day had a spectacularly long spin in his #160 Ferrari 250 GTO, but rejoined the race and finished fourteenth.
